Since its establishment in 1907, Soka Senbei has been made using the same traditional methods of “steaming in a steamer basket,” “drying in the sun with ‘Mushiro’ (*1) ” and “hand-baking over charcoal.
“Komiya Senbei” is now the only company in Soka that makes all of its products using this method.
The rice cracker dough is steamed in a steamer to preserve the flavor of the rice, then carefully pounded and cut into shapes.
And dried on the “Mushiro,” a wooden board, for two to three days in the sun to maximize the flavor of the rice.
Each rice cracker is carefully baked by hand over a charcoal fire. Enjoy the sweetness of the rice as you chew it.
100% Saitama-grown rice is used.
(*1 Mushiro)
